Scope of Project - The old coating on this piece was completely deteriorated and the internal surfaces had developed a corrosion problem. The coating had to be chemically removed and the corroded areas treated. All of the decorative small flats on the base had to be sanded and polished to bring the piece back to the esthitic beauty the artist had originally intended. The entire piece was then cleaned, the patina repaired where needed then sealed with Incralac, an acrylic lacquer with corrosion inhibitors.
